Storage licences and Hi-Care: checking the proposal
Check hardware, feature licences, capacity licences and support separately. Keep activation evidence, support dates and regional Hi-Care terms in the handover register.
Different rights and services in the proposal
A feature appearing in a product catalogue does not establish that it was purchased and activated for a specific system. Record the complete SKU, product version, entitlement scope and the owner of required implementation work. Check entitlement and actual activation separately. Operational verification is a further result: possessing a feature does not establish that its workflow has been tested.
A register for four line types

Term and service level
“36 months” is an example term, but it still needs a start date. Hardware handover, activation and service registration may occur on different days. Check how the contract distinguishes response to a case, delivery of a spare, on-site work and restoration of service. These events should not be collapsed into one promised recovery time.
Assess the Hi-Care level together with its applicable regional terms: service hours, support channels, covered hardware and on-site service conditions. For software upgrades, plan the entitlement, compatibility review and installation work separately.
What the operations team needs
Provide a controlled entitlement register, activation evidence, covered assets and support dates. Name the renewal owner, authorised support contacts and record location. Close coverage questions with the supplier before acceptance. For features requiring another system or site, document the additional design and licensing requirements alongside the entitlement.
