SOCAR Carbamide Plant: components and process materials
Sofcon supplied SOCAR’s Carbamide Plant with mechanical spares, packaging-machine components, compressed-air equipment, filters and process materials.
Mechanical assemblies and packaging equipment
The Carbamide Plant’s operating needs spanned mechanical assemblies, packaging equipment and auxiliary systems. Sofcon supplied SKF bearings and belts, along with a chain and sealing components for the Makkelsan packaging machine.
SKF products served shaft supports and mechanical transmissions; the Makkelsan parts addressed maintenance of a specific packaging machine.
Compressed-air and filtration systems
Sofcon supplied a Gardner air compressor for the plant’s compressed-air requirements and pneumatic equipment. The supply scope also included a separate range of spare parts for maintaining existing air-system equipment.
Filter elements for different applications were supplied to match the equipment and its technical requirements. These replaceable components support filtration within the plant’s process systems.
Materials for sorption and treatment
The supply also included molecular sieve, activated carbon and flocculant. Molecular sieve adsorbs moisture and selected components from gases and liquids, while activated carbon adsorbs contaminants and unwanted substances.
Flocculant helps suspended particles aggregate for subsequent separation from a liquid. The three material groups therefore address different functions in process treatment and purification.
