WEG motor rotor shaft
Sofcon inspected and repaired the rotor shaft of a WEG W22Xdb motor for Azərikimya’s ethylene-polyethylene plant. The task concerned a 6000 V, 210 kW motor identified with Ex d marking, with the focus on assessing shaft condition and restoring its serviceability.
Dimensional inspection and mechanical restoration
The work covered dimensional and condition checks, identification of wear and defects, and mechanical repair and restoration.
Electrical checks, balancing and testing
Mechanical work was complemented by checks of the electrical parts, balancing and testing. This approach considers both the restored geometry and the assembly’s behaviour during rotation.
