The GİF catalogue also presents repair clamps and connection products in separate groups. Write the required function alongside terms such as “clamp” or “coupling”. A simple sketch and the installed product label quickly expose ambiguity in commercial terminology.

Keep nominal size and outside diameter separate
In an illustrative enquiry, only DN is given, while the offer specifies a product for a particular outside-diameter range. Compatibility is still unresolved. Add pipe material, documented outside diameter in mm, wall and geometry information. Any required measurement must follow the site’s safe-work arrangements. Equal nominal sizes on pipes of different materials do not automatically establish equal external dimensions.
Match the offer to the stated conditions
Include medium, temperature °C, pressure with its unit, space constraints and required documents. Request the exact part number, dimensional range, materials, seal and package contents in the offer. Refer every difference for technical approval. Check that code and package at receipt. Installation and return-to-service decisions follow the responsible operator’s approved procedures.
